By accessing and using the website at www.camarillodeckandfence.com or by engaging Camarillo Deck & Fence to perform any services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
These terms apply to all visitors to our website and to all clients who enter into a service agreement with Camarillo Deck & Fence.
Camarillo Deck & Fence is a state-licensed and fully insured deck builder serving Camarillo, CA and surrounding Ventura County communities. Our services include custom deck design and build, composite and wood deck installation, deck repair and replacement, fence installation, pergola installation, patio covers, and related outdoor structure construction.
All services are subject to the execution of a separate written contract between Camarillo Deck & Fence and the client. These Terms and Conditions apply alongside and do not replace any specific provisions in a signed project contract.
Free on-site estimates are provided as a courtesy and do not constitute a binding offer. All pricing is formalized in a written contract signed by both parties before work begins.
Estimates are based on information available at the time of the site visit. If conditions are discovered during construction that were not visible or accessible during the estimate (such as deteriorated framing, soil issues, or utility conflicts), we will notify you in writing before proceeding with any additional work. No change orders will be performed without your written or documented verbal authorization.
Prices are subject to change if project scope changes at your request or due to factors outside our control, including material price increases or permit requirement changes.
Project start dates are estimated based on permit approval timelines, material availability, and our current schedule. We will communicate any changes to the projected start date as soon as they are known.
If you need to cancel a signed project, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellation terms, including any applicable deposit forfeitures, will be stated in your signed project contract. Deposits are generally non-refundable once materials have been ordered or permit applications have been submitted.
We reserve the right to suspend or delay work due to weather conditions, permit delays, site access issues, or other circumstances outside our control. We will communicate delays promptly and resume work as soon as conditions allow.
Payment schedules are defined in each signed project contract. Typically, payments are structured in installments tied to project milestones. Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the project and prior to the final walkthrough.
Unpaid balances past their due date may be subject to a late fee as specified in the project contract. We reserve the right to suspend work on projects with outstanding balances.
Accepted payment methods will be specified in your project contract. All payments should be made payable to Camarillo Deck & Fence.
Camarillo Deck & Fence obtains all required building permits for projects that require them under applicable California and local codes. Permit fees are typically included in the project estimate. You are responsible for obtaining any homeowners association (HOA) approvals required for your property prior to permit submission. We can assist with preparing submission materials, but HOA approval is ultimately the homeowner's responsibility.
We stand behind our workmanship. Any warranty terms specific to your project will be stated in your signed project contract.
Material warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and are separate from our workmanship warranty. We will provide you with applicable manufacturer documentation upon project completion.
Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, modifications made by others, acts of nature, or normal wear and tear. No warranty, expressed or implied, extends beyond what is explicitly stated in your project contract.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Camarillo Deck & Fence's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of revenue, or damage to personal property not directly caused by our work, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury or property damage caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to attempt to resolve it through non-binding mediation before pursuing litigation. Any legal action arising from these terms or our services shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
